THERAPY ORIENTATION

I believe that the business of life is managing the multitude of transitions that are part of living.  Transitions include moving from childhood to adulthood; moving from being single to being in an exclusive committed relationship; the transition from birth to death, and so on.

My overall approach is to be brief, task oriented and solution focused.  I work from an integrated developmental approach based on psychodynamic and family systems theory. At times, I may also include a cognitive behavioral approach. Our initial contact is primarily evaluative, although some therapeutic benefit may occur.  I will actively use my training and experience to help you meet your goals.  Successful treatment is a direct result of mutual efforts, honesty, and a spirit of collaboration
